Stimulate the body’s own healing power
Water: drink ——- litres of water each day. Sip any water you drink, as this gives your body a better chance of using it more efficiently. Your brain can’t work efficiently without this water. Your kidneys can’t eliminate the waste products and toxins that are floating around in your body and blood unless there is enough water to dilute these and pass them out of the body.
Brain Buttons: Put your right thumb and two fingers into the hollows that sit left and right of your sternum just under your collarbones. Rub gently but firmly
Rub your left hand over your belly button in a circle or over and back gently.
Keep rubbing for 30 seconds and change hands. Rub again for 30 seconds with the “new” hand.
This helps your reading, vision, perception problems, as well as improving your visual memory.
It also assists in the “d ” and “ b” discrimination problems.
Thinking cap:
Put your fingers of hand behind your ears and put your thumbs into your ear lobes. Now massage out from the centre moving up and down the whole ear 3 or 4 times. Keep rubbing for at least 30 seconds. This helps neck muscles and auditory problems as well as improving your memory.
Cross Crawl:
This involves touching your left hand to your raised right knee and visa versa. The hand that is not being used should swing backwards. This exercise should be done slowly. It integrates the workings of both sides of the body and brain, making many movements and thought processes easier to do.
Cooks Hook up: Part 1:
Cross your ankles.
Stretch out both hands in front of you.
Put your hands back to front with palms facing out.
Now, pass one hand over the other and put the two palms touching.
Interlock your fingers gently.
Drop your hands onto your lap. Relax your elbows and wrists with the fingers still locked together.
(If you like, you can:- Turn your hands down and in and bring them up under your chin with the fingers still locked together)
Place the tip of your tongue at the top of your mouth.
(This activates the acupressure point, which helps you to relax)
Breathe in deeply but gently through your nose and out through your mouth.
Drop your tongue as you breathe out.
With your eyes closed look up towards the centre of your forehead.
Hold this position for at least 40 seconds.
This exercise helps to centre the body, brain and energy.
It brings calm. It revitalizes all of your brain and body systems. It is very relaxing.
( It also promotes sleep when done in bed at night).
Cooks Hook up: Part 2:
Put both feet flat on floor.
Touch tips of all fingers together.
Hold for about 30 seconds or longer as desired.
This exercise helps concentration and focus.
